VISION:
The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department is to be a Pioneering department in preparing students to compete globally in their profession, to reach the highest levels of intellectual attainment, making significant contributions to society.
- To be centre of excellence with focus on advanced technology.
- To prepare the students for successful careers based on a strong moral and ethical foundations.
- To advance the state–of–art in Electrical and electronics Engineering
- To train and educate students as Global citizens, to become entrepreneurs in their chosen field.
- To serve the Rural Community for its enrichment and advancement.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:
- To train Graduates of the Electrical Engineering program such that they will be prepared with broad fundamental knowledge in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Able to readily apply their extensively in laboratory and design experience to solve the challenging engineering problems using modern technology.
- Able to adapt the changing technology and human needs.
LONG TERM GOALS
- To have centre of excellence in one or two thrust areas of Electrical Engineering.
- To achieve hundred percent placements
- To strengthen the industry institute interaction
- To equip all the Laboratories with 1:1 student experiment ratio.
- To offer one post graduate programme in a thrust area
- To have research tie-ups with reputed Industries and Universities.
SHORT TERM GOALS
- To improve teaching - learning process
- To achieve hundred percent pass percentage
- To organize technical workshops frequently.
- To provide support in the areas of social relevance.
ACHIVEMENTS:
* Accreiated By NBA of AICTE for Three Years With Effect from 2008.
* Accreiated By Tata Consultancy Services.
* Received Status of Permanent Application with JNTUK,Kakinada for three years Since July 2010.
* Renewal Application is pending with AICTE
BEST PRACTICES IN EEE DEPARTMENT:
· University results are critically analyzed and discussed at the faculty meeting. Follow-up actions are initiated.
- The overall record of each student is maintained by the department. Students are encouraged to meet teacher-counsellors weekly. One teacher is allotted as a Counsellor for every 20 students.
- Audio-visual facilities (LCD, OHP, CDs, and Wall Charts etc.) are extensively used in class-room teaching to enhance the Learning Skills.
- Students are encouraged to present papers and participate in project exhibitions and quizzes conducted by various Institutions / Agencies.
- To improve the communication skills of students, two periods per week are incorporated in the regular time-table to train them in – Seminars, Group Discussions, Personality Development, Ethics, Extra-curricular Activities etc.
- Feedback from the parents is obtained by conducting parent meets. Their suggestions are taken into account in the various activities of the department.
- Faculty are encouraged to attend seminars, symposia / workshops to upgrade their knowledge which in turn benefits the students. The college provides financial assistance towards registration, travel expenses etc.
- Faculty are encouraged to improve their qualifications by sponsoring them to M.Tech. / Ph.D. programs.
- Non-teaching members are also encouraged to improve their qualifications. They are further deputed to special training programs for skill upgradation.
- Mock tests are conducted by the department in Aptitude / Reasoning / Puzzle solving / HR / Group Discussions etc. as a part of student association activities.
- Alumni information is maintained and suggestions of the alumni are taken into consideration for various developmental activitie
- Add-on courses are conducted for the students of 3rd & 4th years. Experiments beyond prescribed syllabus are included for each Laboratory class.
- Faculty orientation lectures are being conducted to improve the quality of technical teaching.
- Remedial classes are being conducted to improve student’s academic performance.
- Department conducts meetings for review of academic and other related works.
- Medals and awards are constituted for attendance, best projects, academic results, GATE etc.
